There are no missions.

My last free day is slowly coming to an end... I didn't draw anything today, just did mundane things like laundry and vacuuming and just the tiniest bit of ballet training. Since putting the finishing touches on Kakashi kept me awake until half past four in the morning I was too tired to do anything more meaningful anyway.

But the physical activity got my brain to move a little, albeit sluggishly, and I got an idea for a really large Naruto painting: 'There Are No Missions'. It's going to feature four or five shinobi somewhere in the woods (which means I'll have to really work on the background this time), all of them wounded, out of chakra and coming back to a home that's practically half graveyard. Which I'll illustrate by means of a lot of wooden crosses (because the imagery worked so well in the first Rurouni Kenshin OVA).

Yes, I know I'm sick. But I imagine that a ninja war can only have  a horrifying outcome (like just about any other war), and the scene has chosen to burn itself into my brain. If  I don't get it out it will torture me forever.

Anyway, the team is probably going to consist of Kurenai, Kakashi, Genma, Nameless!AnbuChick and Grown!Neji. And for once, I'm hoping to get the composition to illustrate more than the physical hotness of the characters. It will be really interesting to find out whether I'll manage. It's certainly a huge challenge, but it's something I can work on for weeks at my leisure, taking it out whenever I have the time. And I need an occasional distraction form my thesis, so it'll be okay as long as it doesn't threaten to consume all of my time.

Well, enough with the rambling... I promised myself to go to bed early today. :)

Sick? Hell no! Sounds like a five star idea to me. And, given your talent I beleive you can do something great with that indeed. Wish you best of luck! ^__^
