I've been having a really lovely day so far. Well, work sucked, but I'm all awibble because I've just discovered beautiful music on ITunes (and bought it too).

Lonely Day by System of a Down is a beautiful song, as is Broken by Seether in the live version. I only knew the version with Amy Lee of Evanescence, and I didn't like the timbre of the male singer at all. But he sounds completely different in the live recording -- he has a full, masculine voice that's truly lovely to listen to. It sounds so lovely, in fact, that I bought the complete live album One Cold Night.

As far as I'm concerned, it's perfect music for writing.

Which is good, because I've been writing like crazy lately! That's the most wonderful thing of all. Over the last three days I've clocked in an average of 4000 words a day. That's 2000 words an hour. I'm thisclose to becoming the next Stephen King.

... not really.

After all, I haven't been writing anything original. In fact, it's the worst sort of Mary-Sueish Stargate porn, wherein I defile such little-known characters as Major Coburn and Camulus (I leave it to fans of the series to connect the dots). Obviously I will never show it to anyone, ever, but it's such a blast nevertheless!
