There Are No Missions - Genma/Kurenai

After slaving forever on the first There Are No Missions piece I have finally declared it finished, and it can be found here. It's flawed, like all my other drawings, but I'm slowly getting over my laziness. I've started to do proper backgrounds and I'm forcing myself to draw things I'm not good at. It's the only way to improve, in my opinion. And for some reason I'm seeing a slight romance blossom between Genma and Kurenai... I'm sure that will pass. I've stared at the two of them for so long it's only natural to be seeing things. *humming* It's only a temporary delusion...

that's beautiful and angsty, there's so much detail and the story with it flows like poetry. simply gorgeous!

Wow. The art's amazing, but the writing... "utter demise of meaning"...

The language was stark and spare, but beautiful nonetheless. You really are so talented, sweetie :)

Re:
It was really an experiment -- I whipped the text snippet together in fifteen minutes because I was so eager to post the image. I'm afraid it shows a little... but it can't be that bad if you liked it! *beams*

Re:
15 minutes? Wow. Now I'm even more impressed.

Hey! Was looking at the Favourite Stories sections of someone's page on ff.net and GUESS whose story and name were on it? YOU-- the Mary-Sue fic with Psycho!Legolas.

Re:
It was probably pnly fifteen minutes because I felt strongly about it -- sometimes the words just pour out. :)

And, whee! My Mary-Sue story? People still remember that? Am amazed... Who was it? (curious as ever)

And before I forget again, I love every chapter of BoB you posted so far. I've never seen anyone write Faith that well, and it's not only her -- the details in your writing, the way you juggle a huge cast without breaking a sweat and it feels so very natural... It's really incredible how you keep growing as a writer. Oh, and Glorfindel is so awfully sexy. I can't wait to read more interaction between him and Faith. :)

Re:
I don't remember who it was, sorry... was just coasting through, a ditz, as ever.

Thanks so much for your kind compliments! It's really not anywhere near as effortless as you think... the cast-juggling keeps me awake at night. Well, ok, keeps me awake for 5 minutes longer than it would if I didn't think about it. But still.

Am v. glad you find Glorfindel sexy, I was worried that EmotionallyHealthy!Glorfindel would be a dud but honestly, putting together Canon!Glorfindel and a person who could love Faith was no easy feat, and the only way I could figure it was to have him like this.

He's gonna get better, I think, all the time. I think he might end up being the best, sexiest, wonderfullest guy in all of these stories. I haven't even written him completely yet and I'm halfway in love with him, just because I have vague ideas of who he is and where he's going in this fic.

I really hope you like him, too :)

Hello hello....
Hiya. It's Ella (obviously a pseudonym as you may have guessed). Anyway, saw the new livejournal and thought I'd check it out. :) I'm going to add you to my 'friends' list, if that's alright?
