Paint doodle thingy.

If anybody cares what I'm currently painting (or doesn't care but is bored and feels compelled to click on the thumbnail anyway), here it is:

Nymph - WIP V01 Nymph - WIP V01

Just a pic I'm doing in order to practice skin tones. And, er, people.

There might be flowers in her hair later on. If, that is, I decide to give her some hair.

Forgive me for being insatiably curious, but what's the skin tone colors you use? I've been having a horrific time recovering my skin colors ever since my computer went Boom and any help would be appreciated. >.

I don't really use any specific skin tones... I just look what colour my background is, and the lighting and such, and then I just choose what colour seems right in that context. :)

Ah, alright then. ^^

You totally inspire me to work towards a more realistic style. God I LOVE your work...I hope you decide to finish this ^^

That. Is. So. Amazing. I mean, really, really, really amazing. Like, amazing-amazing.

Thanks a lot! It#s still a WIP though, so I hope I won't find a way to botch it up before I finish.

Oh, that is lovely. Her eyes are especially striking.

Thank you! ♥ I have a love/hate relationship with eyes because they're so hard to render realistically. I hope hers turn out well in the end. :)

Lovely -- I really like how you do elements of the face, particularly the lips! Just very nice.

Thanks! :)

The shading of her eyelids and the shadowing of her nose are really well-done and natural-feeling. Her lips look a little busy, almost chapped with so many little brushstrokes to them, however. Her eyes are magnificent, and the line of her throat is perfect. This is really gorgeous, sweetie! Do you mind if I use her as inspiration for an OC?

Thank you! *hugs* And no, I don't mind at all!

Eek! I love! The skintones are so much better than I could ever do, which is why I stay away from picking up any paintbrushes whether real or otherwise. The shading is well done, really makes it look 3D. You made it appear as if the image really does have depth, always a plus.

Plus, even hairless, she looks prettier than Snead O'Conner. =P

I'm horrid with real paintbrushes myself. It's really hard enough to get colors right digitally! Well, at least I managed to finish this pic so she's not bald anymore. :)

Whee! Even better! Women just shouldn't be bald. Well, unless they want to that is. =p

That's really beautiful!
I like it like that (I mean not finished) cause the contrast between the detailed face and the chest and background is striking!
But I'd like to see it finished too... ^_^

I'm a sucker for unfinished sketches/paintings myself, but I think I like this one better now that I've managed to finish it.
