Red of winter

Today during lunch break I've finally gotten around to playing with the digital camera I bought nearly a year ago. The manual focus adjustment doesn't work as well as it would on an SLR camera, but for a digital one it's okay, I guess.

So here are a few uninspired sort-of macro shots for your viewing pleasure.

Gah, even just snapping some shots, you're insanely talented.

Haha, fooled you! Since I have no idea about photography and all... I used to be a point-and-click type of person before I actually read the manual yesterday. XD

Nuh-uh. Look at the composition. Normal people can't/don't do that. It's you, baby, you.

Listen to the wise lady, Caro. Lovely composition. I have stolen the dead leaf one.

It takes a gift to make a dead leaf look good.

Dead leaves are all crumpled and interesting. I like them a lot. :)

As for the composition, I'm still trying to find out what it is that makes a photo look good.

Canon camera! Utter love and adoration! ^_^

And it's amazing how cool the macro setting can be. Heehee. ;)

I do like the macro setting, although I have no idea what it actually does. After all, I have to adjust the focus myself, and hence, I suppose, indirectly the depth of field as well. Color me confused. ^__^

I'm also obviously an idiot because my camera is a Sony, not a Canon and I actually have no idea why I wrote Canon in the first place... *hides*
