Licence to whine

I am sick which is a bother because it cuts down on my internet time and just about any other pastime I can think of, including reading. I haven't slept in two days because of fever (which is thankfully reduced to manageable levels now). But now I have shiny penicillin which shall make me better in no time while it kills my stomach lining. I do so love antibiotics.

I never knew that pajamas is the official American spelling for pyjamas. Unless of course it isn't and the intarweb has misled me once again. Has it?

In other news, I am weirdly attracted to the honesty meme. I have no idea why that is because even though I am a shallow and self-involved asshole type of person, I still don't want to know how many other people have realized that by now.

Hope you feel better soon!

And yeah, we spell it "pajamas." ^.^

It is and it has completely fucked me up when spelling said word. Usually I end up with something that looks like a chorus line in word form, like "pygymyas" or something equally horrifying.

I have no idea why that is because even though I am a shallow and self-involved asshole type of person, I still don't want to know how many other people have realized that by now.

Ditto for me!

I had a very tasteless joke here about pygmies and asses. I removed it because not everyone might believe that it's the drugs talking. ^^;

I have no idea how to say this without sounding like a sycophant--I had to look up whether that word actually exists in the English language--but your are pretty much a storytelling genius, so you are entitled to a fair bit of self-involvement. Also long bouts of daydreaming and neglect of friends and household chores. ^__^

I am bereft! Also laughing, so it's kind of like you told the joke, but not quite.

...also you made me wah. Very wah. Why don't we talk more? Oh yeah, because I'm a self-involved asshole online hermit. But I still adore you in a very gooey way that requires absolutely no upkeep, and is therefore the best kind, especially for self-absorbed people such as we.

(I also suspect your self-involvement is quite warranted, but shall leave my speculations for another time.)

At any rate, darling, we simply must have tea and catch up! Let us promise, with absolutely no expectation of obligation or fulfillment because we are both busy, self-centered, and preoccupied, to talk at some point in the near future. Kisses!

Some jokes are best laughed at from a distance.

Also, you're too kind.

I'd love to catch up! Because my love for you is as squishy as the squishiest of vegetables, but loads more enduring. It's the perpetuum mobile of squishy vegetables, in fact.

I shall proceed to hang out in chat at irregular intervals throughout the rest of the week, and I'm on vacation next week as well. ♥

Then I shall hopefully catch you, and we may chat, and reminisce, and be generally effusive and squishy and gooey toward each other, because it has been too long, too long!

Ach, hope you feel better soon. Good luck with the killing of the stomach lining!

Official American spelling for a lot of things is really weird. I've been staging a stealthy revolt against gray since fourth grade. Oddly enough, only my fourth-grade teacher seemed to care.

Also, you have a gorgeous mood theme!

Thank you! I was never sure about gray and grey -- although I've understood some of the basic differences between British and American spelling over the years I'm still having trouble with the more obscure ones.

The mood theme is the result of my brief but intense love affair with the visual hotness that is the Narnia movie. I didn't make it though. ^__^
